For those wondering about the various worm/virus messages on Birding-Aus,
they are all due to the new variant of an old worm, "SoBig.F"

Infected emails are around 100k in size with one of several canned subject
lines, no message content and an attachment with one of several names
ending in ".pif". The worm constructs an email with "From:" and "To:"
addresses selected from the infected computer's address book.

The messages on the list are almost certainly as a result of an infected
computer sending emails "From:" the Birding-Aus email address. I haven't
seen any infected emails on Birding-Aus, but have received a dozen in the
last couple of days.
