Hi All,

I had a call this morning from Rob King, in the Pumicestone Passage, just
north of Brisbane, Qld. He said that on his recent boating in the Passage he
had seen 40 Eastern Curlew  in a spot where he never sees them (Roys'
Orchard), always a sign of a likely migrating flock, as well as about 350
Eastern Curlew at Thooloora Is South-East, a long-used roost.

Our Caloundra sandbanks team saw our first returning Eastern Curlew on our
last survey, July 31, although it was just a small flock. We can usually
depend on the first few returned curlew at the end of July.
