That's because they've all headed to Lake Lorne in Drysdale. The numbers
of ducks and variety of species on this small lake continues to be high.
Ducks include Blue-billed, Hardhead, a large flock of Pink-eared (a
relatively new group of birds for this lake), Black, Chestnut and Grey
Teal, and 150+ Freckled Duck. This lake is also a major roost for ibis
and cormorant, with thousands of birds arriving in the evening.

There may in fact be a direct link between Lake Lorne and the WTP - as
the crow flies (!) these two areas are probably less that 20 kilometres
apart.
