Hi all,

Another bird i noticed up at Hinze Dam here on the Gold Coast in Queensland is the Striated Pardalote. These birds have a black cap and a yellow line heading towards the bill however they have a small line of red near their beak. How can this be are they meant to have this red line which stands out? This is the second year in a row i have seen Striated Pardalotes like this at the dam. Thanks for the help.

Yours Sincerely
Mr Jade Welch
