While birding in the Licola area today, we stopped at an open gully south of
Licola at 207 metres altitude, to see a mixed flock of mainly Flame, plus
Scarlet Robins, numbering around 100 birds, also numerous Jacky Winters, and
three Diamond Firetails. One male Scarlet was the most brilliantly coloured
individual we have ever seen, quite stunning. Duncan Fraser.
