King parrots are regular visitors to that  area so I wouldn’t expect them to be escapees  , and  are often seen in research, on the other side of the river as well ,  they are regulars in both coldstream and yarra glen , although i never see them as often as I used to

 cheers ian

Hi All,

A pair of King Parrots have been seen twice in our garden over the last month. I presume they're escapees, as Healesville (30k's away as Parrots fly) would be the closest point that I've seen them. Any comments? Are they ever seen in Coldstream or Yarra Glen?

Happy birding

Marlene
