It may have something to do with the fact that east coast folks are
more likely to do their west coast tripping in September and October -
a period with coincides with the great southern caravan migration.

There were very few visitors in 2000, but I put that down to the
Olympics and also to Lake Eyre filling which attracted a lot of > people.
