Hi Birders

On webcams, during the recent Spring/Summer period, the Dept Public Works and NPWS installed a camera to monitor the use of artificial roosting platforms by migratory shorebirds in the Hunter Estuary.  This was part of the NPWS and Ekerlogic's monitoring of shorebirds in the estuary which recently concluded.

The camera was set to download data at a few different times, encompassing the variation in weather, tides, time of day etc.  The focus on the camera was also able to  changed at the click of a mouse key.

Unfortunately live images are currently unable to be viewed by the general public, however, it may happen in the near future, particularly during the next migratory season.

Regards

Peter
