Hello bird lovers... Lorne here...

I am off to Balgo Hills in the East Kimberley region of W.A. in early July with two other teachers and 20 high school kids. Can't bloody wait. I will be in Balgo for 3 or 4 days. We'll be going to Lake Gregory and Halls Creek also. Can anybody out there tell me what birds to expect? I'm guessing Orange Chat, Gibberbird, Spinifex Pigeon, various honeyeaters etc.

Thanks all. Have a decent day.

Hi Lorne,

I may be in the area as well.  The thought of 20 school kids doesn't excite me all that much though. I will be heading up via the Tanami track  and coming out at Halls Creek.
I would be interested in similar info. but Frank O'Connor's website seems to be a good place to start.

Cheers,

Peter.
