Today (22/5/03) Nathan Waugh at I stumbled across 7 Freckled Ducks at the northern end of Lake IIIawarra (diagonally across from Westfield Warrawong). The ducks were resting on the north side of the peninsula in the middle of the lagoon (look for 2 blue benches and they were directly in front of that). It was around 2:30pm when they were resting with good light on them.

In the bushland across the highway from the lake were 2 Spangled Drongos, White-naped, Scarlet, White-plumed, Yellow-faced and New Holland Honeyeaters. A Blind Snake was also located under a big rectangular piece of rubber.

Hopefully this message was of interest to someone,

Regards,

Nigel Jackett
