David has upped the stakes by referring to Australia.
I haven't seen any mallard hybrids in Victoria outside
metropolitan Melbourne. But I was shocked by the number of
mallards and probable hybrids in Hobart. Perhaps someone
from Tasmania can comment.

black duck. "Two percent of ducks are mallards or show signs
