Redshanks in Bundaberg?

Thanks to those who took the time and interest to offer opinion about the
three odd birds I saw in Bundaberg last month. I didn't much appreciate a
couple of smart, supercilious responses, but we're all different.

Whilst some were happy to accept that they were Redshanks, a few people with
experience of the species have given me enough information to doubt
seriously whether they could have been Redshanks. One thought was Ruff, and
remains a possibility.

I'm happy to let it go. The only thing I am sure of is that they were not a
species with which I am familiar, and I am familiar with all the regular
waders on our Qld coast.  Whilst it would be nice to know, it doesn't really
matter.
