G'day everyone

I reckon I can beat Jade, Kurtis, Tim and the others as being the youngest on Birding-aus. I am only 15 and have been seriously birding for a couple of years now.

I first started seriously birding in 2001. Since then I have gained a heap of experience from other birders (thanks especially to Steve Clark who has taught me a lot of what I know) and the many different holidays I have been on with my family (up the centre and around Western Australia in 2001, and up to Cairns and the Atherton Tablealnds in 2002) and now regard myself as a fairly competent birder. My Australian life list is currently at 393 so I think I am well on my way.

I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage all other older and more experienced birders out there to help other younger and less experienced people. Birding is a very fun and rewarding hobby, but is something that I have found to be very addictive (not that that's a bad thing).
