Hi All,
Wandered across the road and down to the Yarra (Warrandyte) this afternoon and was thrilled to again see an Azure Kingfisher. I had previously seen this species in the same spot on Sunday morning.
Other birds seen on this quite stretch of water (an island in the middle of the river) included Red-browed Firetails, Superb Fairy-wrens, White-browed Scrubwren, a female Golden Whistler, Black Duck, Dusky Moorhen whilst in the trees Spotted Pardalote, Striated & Brown Thornbill, Noisy Miner, Kookaburra and to finish the visit, a Brown Goshawk.
A delightful 1/2 hour of  relaxed birding.
        Marlene
