Dear birding-aussers
 
Dropped off the highway for 20 mins this arfo Sunday13th April to see what was present on the northern section of this interesting wetland, which was dry at the end of last year and now has a shallow layer of water with wide mud surround. As well as the usual Black Swans, Black-winged Stilts, Masked Lapwings, Pee Wees, Purple Swamphens and Chestnut Teal, interesting sightings were -
 
White-faced Heron 32 - 31 were put up from far side deep grass when a Whistling Kite flew over and one remained on the highway side of water.
Glossy Ibis 15
Yellow-billed Spoonbill 7
