Last Sunday evening I watched Always Greener on Channel 7
TV.

I enjoyed hearing the Brown Tree Frogs and Bell Miners in
the background. But was that hooting at the end an
Australian species ? Sounded like the Eurasian Tawny Owl
Strix Aluca to me ("hoo - hoo - hoooooo").

Please let me know if you have any ideas about the i/d
directly and I will compile a response for the mailing list.

PS I definitely heard the call on the TV - my son was not
playing the Holonic CD by D J Krush this time (see my
posting of 8/8/2000). But then maybe the CD was being
played as
part of the programme !
