Birdline Victoria Update No. 110
For the week ending: 16 March, 2003

I spent an hour or so at the Balbirooroo Wetlands at the back of Balnarring Primary School, Civic Court, Balnarring on Saturday in search of Chestnut Teal (another story) and saw at least 3 of the Freckled ducks and a lone Wood Sandpiper as reported last week on Birdline by Brian Thomas.  Also there were Australian Shelduck, Aussie Shovelers and a Black-fronted Dotterel.  It's a good little spot, especially for ducks.
