Notice of Meeting for Victorian members of Birding-Aus.

The next Birds Australia VicGroup Meeting will take place on Thursday 13th March at 8:00pm.  The venue for the meeting is Strathcona Baptist Girls School.

Our guest speakers are Doris Graham, Roger Richards and Annabel Richards.  The title of their talk is Studying the flora and fauna of the Yenesei River in Russia.
Doris, Roger and Annabel joined a group of Canadian students and their professors from Queen's University, Canada and Moscow State University on a field trip investigating the environs of this fantastic river. Travelling by boat, train and foot they studied, lichens, grasses, trees, birds and more.

Although the main meeting starts at 8:00 PM, it will be preceded by a meeting of the VicGroup Conservation Committee at 6:30 PM.  Anyone interested in attending the earlier meeting as well as the main one is very welcome to do so.  It will be held in Classroom S 203, upstairs, opposite the theatre entrance.
Additionally, the VicGroup AGM will take place prior to the main speakers so anyone interested in getting involved in Vicgroup, please do not hesitate to come forward.

Venue details:  Strathcona Baptist Girls School (Mel: 46 D 12).  We are using their auditorium which seats 100 people.   Our target for VicGroup meetings is to fill the auditorium so please come along and bring a friend!  Carparking is available in the nearby street and also on the premises via an entrance on the approach to the school off 'one-way' Scott Street.  The entrance is just after crossing Claremont Crescent on the left hand side.  The nearest train station is Canterbury (Mel: 46 D 11).
