At the weekend, a group of birders from Canberra Ornithologists Group observed a Banded Stilt at Wallagoot Lake in Bournda National Park which is located between Tathra and Merimbula on the far south coast of NSW. It was near the Little Tern breeding area. The bird's breast band was mottled, presumably non-breeding adult plumage.
