Hi All Jill,  I also had a White -throated Treecreeper that used to use my bird bath on many occasion and it also went in backwards, sometime ago another person reported the same behaviour with her bathing Treecreeper  which was again a White-throated one.  What I'm very keen to know as I have been keeping records of birds and the methods employed by them when bathing, does any one out there have any records of other species of treecreeper bathing and do they go in backwards.

I would appreciate any records of the method used by birds when bathing if any one wants to send them to me.
