Annie & I walked along Lady Carrington Drive on Sunday. We had several
highlights which started with two Wedge-tailed Eagles soaring over Audley.
There were a pair of Azure Kingfishers below the 1st rock overhang flying to
and fro over the river.

Along the walk we encountered several large flocks of Topknot Pigeons flying
north along the river and the ridge. All up we saw about 200 pigeons. At
Jersey Springs we saw a male Collared Sparrowhawk circling and calling for
40 minutes. Jersey Springs also gave us a Rock Warbler and a pair of
Superb Lyrebirds.

Walking back to Audley we saw a Laughing Kookaburra eating an Eastern water
dragon. There were six leaden Flycatchers and in the Wattle grove near the
1st creek a flock of Varied Sittellas. A cup of tea at the Audley Weir
produced two new birds for my park list. A Latham's Snipe and a Hardhead.
The snipe almost landed where I was standing and flew to the other bank.

We saw 51 species in our short stroll and we have never seen the park so dry
or the river so low.
