Hi David

It's about half way between Mt Gambier and Naracoorte, a few km inside
the border from Victoria.

The SA folk could tell you that and more, but I thought I'd chip in.
The Yellow Gum woodland that goes across through there from Victoria
consistently shows up some of the rarer and edge of range box-ironbark
birds, eg. Black-chinned Honeyeater, etc. So whilst the record might be
erroneous, it would be somewhat consistent with the biogeographic trends
otherwise manifested around Penola. I think there are genuine old
records of Regents from around there too.

L.
