Ecological Research Assistant
Part Time (0.6), Fixed Term (12 months)
Charles Sturt University, Albury-Wodonga

An energetic, self-motivated and reliable person is required to undertake
field work for a project, funded by the Australian Research Council, on
historical changes in tree densities and forest structures in White Cypress
Pine and Box Eucalypt forests. Field work involves identifying, measuring
and mapping trees, stumps and stags in forests across south-central NSW.
Duties will also include: liaison with land management agencies,
organisation of field trips, collection of field data and data entry. The
position will entail lengthy periods of field work and bush camping (1-2
weeks at a time) in remote localities. Flexible working hours will be
required to allow field work to be conducted.

Applicants should have a degree in biology, natural resources, or
equivalent.

Salary:           $22,063 - $24,888 per annum (0.6)
