I understood that the Christidis & Boles list from 1994 was due to be
updated by late last year?
Does anyone know when this is likely to be published?
Also, does anyone have the list of recommended English names
available. Birds Australia WA is producing a birding guide for the City of
Wanneroo in Perth, and we would like to ensure that we are using the latest
names.
I heard a rumour that the two White-tailed Black-Cockatoos were to be
renamed to the names most commonly used in WA - Carnaby's (for
Short-billed) and Baudin's (for Long-billed). Is this correct?
