Hi Chatters,
Though Belconnen is shrouded in dense smoke, it appears that the wind is only about 20-25 kph, and not the 65 kph that was feared and predicted.
At this wind speed, the containment lines around the MacIntyre's Hut Fire and Burrinjuck Fires should hold.
I've been watering my garden continuously (suburbs on high alert as we have been are exempt from the current water restrictions) and the local birds are flocking to the sprinklers.
