Working on the assumption that some on this list may be of an active disposition
and interested in bushwalking, the Qld Parks and Wildlife Service has commenced
work on the development of 6 long distance walking tracks. Concept papers on 4
[Blackhall Range - Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Fraser Island, Whitsunday and
Mackay Hinterland] are accessible at
www.epa.qld.gov.au/GreatWalks. Concept papers on the other two [Gold Coast
Hinterland and Wet Tropics] will be available later this year.

Perhaps, one day, there may be a competition to spot the greatest number of
species on each of these walks and along their counterparts in other states [eg
Larapinta Track NT, Bibblemun Track WA, Heyson Track SA, Alpine Track Vic/NSW,
Great North Walk NSW, Overland Track Tas, South Coast Track Tas].

Regards, Laurie.
