I went for a short walk to the end of our small property near Tamworth NSW the other morning.   It was quite cool and there had been some rain the previous evening - both things much appreciated.

Down the end of the walk I saw four threatened species in the space of about ten minutes.   They were a brown treecreeper, a diamond firetail, two turquoise parrots and six plum-headed finches, two of whom were juveniles.    We also have a family of speckled warblers, elsewhere on the property, although I didn't see them on that day.

Happy New Year everybody
Annabel
