Nothing like as exciting as a Buff-breasted, of course, but yesterday
(Sunday) afternoon there was a Common Sandpiper at the 'Metromix' Swamp
in Kurnell, Sydney. It was pottering and feeding at the edge of the
mud, either ostracised by or spurning the company of the 30+ Sharpies
also present.
