Just a quick email to inform that today (Sunday 24 Nov 02) I found a pair of Australian Painted Snipe near Samsonvale Cemetery, (approx 40kms north of Brisbane) As I suspect that they may be breeding (the male appeared to be feigning a broken-wing display) I won't give a precise location publicly. I've put pictures of both birds on our Image Gallery on http://www.aviceda.org/gallery/photo.php?photo=468&exhibition=6 and

Hope you enjoy the images,
Tom
