g'day all,

I'd appreciate if a list member would advise me ..

"How many birds breed on Australia's mainland and Tasmania ?"

The now defunct "Australian Birding Magazine" in Vol 3, No.1, Winter 1996, discussed how many birds should be included on an Australian checklist and even listed numbers for the states.

But it did not give me an answer for my question. I thought the answer would be easy to find ... perhaps it is, but blowed if I can find it.
