Birdline Victoria Update No. 98
For the week ending: 10 November, 2002

Mike Carter tells us that searchers looked for the Dunlin at Peterborough on Monday and Wednesday last week, but failed to find the bird, or anything that may have looked like the bird such as a Cox's Sandpiper.  Lots of other waders were present on the lagoon upstream of the bridge including Sharp-tailed Sandpipers (400+), Red-necked Stints (400+), Curlew Sandpipers (5-6), Bar-tailed Godwits (4), Red Knot (2), Whiskered Tern (100+) & White-winged Black Tern (1). These were mainly along the first km of the western shore of the lagoon.
