Broome Sightings

I have received some very sparse information about the following recent sightings in Broome.

Adrian Boyle saw an all dark large gull at Crab Creek. Maybe a Pacific or Kelp Gull. He also saw a Grey Falcon hunting Oriental Plovers.

The Broome Bird Observatory has received reports of a Grey Wagtail on the beach in front of the observatory, and of a possible Franklin's Gull (not certain where).

The Grey Wagtail would be only the second record for WA. The first was photographed by George Swann in the Mitchell Falls area last November.

Broome is always an excellent area for vagrants from October to March.
