Night call

For those who live in the Brisbane area, you know what a good flowering and
nectar show the Silky oaks are putting on this season. I've got one outside
the front of the house.  In the daytime,the noisy flocks of Scaly Breasted
and Rainbow Lorikeets come and go, but the calls blend into the general
hubub.  However, of late, the flocks of 100-150 birds have come wheeling
past the window to land in the tree at all hours.  Last night at 1:30 AM.
Is it something in the nectar, or the full moon?

I have heard a Horsefield's Bronze-cuckoo call at night, and found it the
next morning.
