Hi Aidan
This seems to be the standard 'modus operandi' of the Bugbear
virus/worm. It splices bits of e-mail addresses together so they look
familiar - but not quite. Some of the virus-affected PCs around the
place must have lots of old Birding-Aus messages stored on them - or are
they being harvested from the BA archive? Either way, the dodgy ones
are easy enough to spot (see previous warnings on here from Russell
Woodford etc.).
Beef up your antivirus software, and then just relax .....
