Hello All, Been away for a week but I see nothing was reported for the Hawkesbury,60km's N/W of Sydney so here is a catch up for those interested. At Pitt Town Bottoms Rd the Buff Banded Rail and Ballions Crake are showing well, nearly said Marsh Crake Russell. At Pitt Town Lagoon, a newcomer was a Wood Sand Piper, the Pectoral S/P is still there, some Juv Sharpies have arrived,Curlew S/P, Marsh S/P, Ballions, and a Austalian Crake and a Australasian Bittern crept out of the reeds and stood in full view 30metres from me, befor flying to cover. Caspian and 6 Whiskered Terns. The Dollar birds are back at their usual time for Sydney, school holidays. What waders are in Botany you city guys ?
