My brother, Rob and myself observed the Canada Goose at Shoalhaven Heads at 6.30am on Wednesday 30/10/2002. It was in the bay near the boat ramp and we saw it from about 200m metres. Definitely the "large" subspecies but we can't add anything to the vagrant v's escapee debate as we couldn't observed the legs for bands as the bird was swimming.

Some interesting waders 40-50 Bar-tailed Godwits, 10+ Sharpies showing the rufous cap, 2 Eastern Curlew, a couple of Red-Necked Stints and two very pale Golden Plover which we tried to turn in Grey Plovers but they lacked the black "armpit".
