Sorry, had to change the topic from the mistaken "Fry Hard"
bird in my first posting (suitable for KFC but not
Brighton). Hope Jill Denning will do the same with her
Bristolean "Doubled banded Plover/ Dotter all".

I was there this arvo, people watching. The bird again - as
noted by Karen - vanished to the north over the roofs of the
Church St., Brighton, shops.  I went along the passage by
the Thesaurus book shop and thought it must have gone to the
gums in the gardens beyond (with an Imperial White butterfly
feeding on the Pittosporum flowers). 

But no! In a blocked spouting/gutter on the left (west) were
a Red Wattlebird and the Noisy Friarbird enjoying major
baths about 60cm from each other.
