g'day all,
Next week I will be visiting the Cape Crawford area (west of Borroloola) in the Northern Territory

I hope time permits me to visit the CGw locations and compare that habitat to that where the bird is regularly seen at the McNamara's Road site 60km NW of Mount Isa.

Denise Goodfellow in her book "Birds of Australia's Top End, 2001" wrote p102 "there are no recent records"

I also have not heard (on the grapevine) of any recent CGw sightings in that area.

I would appreciate any references to Newsletters that have references to sightings.
e.g..g. The Bird Observer, No.692, Nov 1989, p116-117, Fred T.H.Smith
The Bird Observer, No.712, Sep 1991, p89, Jean Skinner

I would also be pleased to receive the dates & details of ANY sightings in that area

Regards, Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Qld.
ps I can email a History of the CGw in the NT (it includes references to skins collected)
+ a Bibliography of the CGW to anyone interested.
