Lovely morning birding at Warriewood wetlands and Irrawong reserve, northern
suburbs of Sydney.
Out on the boardwalk near Katoa Cres there was one Glossy Ibis roosting with
Sacreds and much activity in the flowering Swamp Mahoganies with Red &
Little Wattlebirds, Noisy Miners, Eastern Spinebill, Yellow-faced &
White-cheeked honeyeaters and Sivereyes all chasing each other madly around
the trees.
Highlight was a Spangled Drongo at the Irrawong Road end of the Warriewood
Wetland boardwalk and the Noisy Pitta which is still at the location
mentioned by Bruce Cox, but elusive (2 second glimpse).
