Hello Birding-aus bird-photo-phanatics,

I am in the process of trying to justify replacing my second-rate slide and film
scanner with something better.
The models I am considering are:
Nikon Coolscan IV ED
Canon CanoScan FS4000US

Are there any Birding-aus subscribers currently using either of these scanners?
If so, would they be prepared to advise me which one I should opt for?
(I promise I will accept the advice on a "No liability" basis, :-))

I would appreciate any opinions from users of these scanners and any information
on possible problems associated with using them on a Windows 98 SE equipped PC.

Please contact me directly on
