Hello Alan,
A rather belated report of a sighting of a flock of eight SP's in tall Swamp
Mahoganies on Cromer Golf Course (gleaning leaves) seen from the Sports
Centre,Narrabeen Lakes 15th June , and two SP's feeding with many Rainbow
Lorikeets, Red Wattlebirds and Noisy Miners on Swamp Mahoganies ( heavy with
blossom) same day on Bayview Golf Links. Also present at Cromer was a
largish ,dark-brown bird which caused general consternation amongst the
feeders when it flew in. Careful examination showed it to be the filthiest
Longbilled Corella I have ever seen.
On 22nd June, a small group of five SP's feeding at the top of the ridge on
Terrace Rd., Nth. Richmond, in stand of Ironbark and Stringybark Trees along
with aggressive Bell Miners. No bloom apparent.
