Gidday all,
                good to see a decision has finally been made about this
area. When I did a NPWS survey in the area in 1998 the Dept. of Mineral
Resources were (apparently) still looking at the mining potential of the

>From memory the birds weren't fabulous, but the bats and frogs were
fantastic, and the platypus very reliable. It is also the first place where
I have seen river blackfish ( oh sorry, wrong list...)

River Ron will also be pleased to hear the news, he is a true gentleman of
the bush, even if getting a little eccentric from living alone for so long.
