Aviary parrots that are a declared pest have been discovered in the wild and
captured at Lower King, east of Albany, on Western Australia's south coast.

This is the first I have heard of these in Albany. A couple of weeks ago I received a photo of an unusual parrot from a garden in Walpole (west of Albany) which was identified as an Indian Ringneck.

I have heard through birding-aus previously of these being seen in Melbourne (and Alice Springs?). It seems that they are being released more often?
