Today ,Tuesday, a delightful warm autumn day in Victoria, the Werribee Wagtails went to the You Yangs, half way between Melbourne and Geelong.

Just inside the gate there was much activity, so we sat and waited for the birds to settle down and come to us.  Our wait was not in vain.

We were able to obtain a key and go into the plantation to the west of the You Yangs, some drove down to Hovel’s Creek while the rest walked.  The Weebills were very vocal and the Shining Bronze Cuckoo elusive.  The Diamond Firetails were foraging and so our sighting of them was very good.
