I once took a friend out on a Sydney pelagic trip. Even with me advocating
the use of medication - even the herbal ginger ones - he assured me he'd
been out to sea and just doesn't get sea sick. He was a fit, strong 30 odd
year old so who was I to argue ........... Turns out he was as sick as a
dog. He could only lay down the whole trip inbetween trips to the loo, even
just opening his eyes made it worse. Turns out his previous experience at
sea was a P&O Cruise ship. Whoops.
