Hi all

In a recent illawarra bird club discussion, the occasional aggregation
of Channel-billed Cuckoos in the Illawarra region (south of Sydney) was
discussed. We have records of up to 12 cuckoos being observed flying
together and/or feeding in fig trees, though it is much more usual to
observe 1-3 birds. There is also one record of 20 birds feeding in a fig
tree at Milton. The larger aggregations seem to occur in October, when
the birds arrive in the region and again in February-March before they

So, are aggregations of up to 12 birds unusual elsewhere in the country?
