g'day all,

The Qld Government issued a media statement advising in part ..

"Researchers now believe that the entire Asian population of roseate terns, 
apart from
first-year birds, flies to the Swain Reefs, 250km north-east of Rockhampton, 
for their
annual migration."

"Almost 25,000 birds were counted"

"19 of these birds carried Japanese leg bands and another had been banded in

 camping ground has been reopened with a limited number of sites
