I think Jerringot (aka Belmont Common) swamp in Geelong is one of the best
places in Victoria to see Baillon's Crake - try the vegetated dam in the
golf course edge next to the "main" swamp.  Look amongst the Cumbungi
(Typha) stems.

Any resident Geelong birders care to comment?  Is my advice still valid???
