G'day all,
I have compiled a Quick Index for the Michael Morcombe
" Field Guide to Australian Birds "
Quick Indexes are a one page index where only the first page
number for a bird "surname is included.
e.g. for Terns the only reference is p146, even though
Terns continue through to p154.
The advantage is that because of the larger font size, many
people who normally need spectacles to read the normal index can read
it.
It is designed to be folded and inserted inside the front
cover.
It is in MS Word format.
Anyone who wants a copy .... just email me.
List members without MS Word may be able to view the list by
using a free MS viewer available from
To see what a Quik Index is, look at the one for David
Sybley's "The North American Bird Guide" (also sold as "The Sibley Guide to
Birds")
Regards, Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Qld.
ps The more I use this Field Guide, the more I like it. e.g. I
was able to find out what a Kentish Plover looks like !
