While spending a relaxing day at the
Rylstone Show on saturday
a question arose.

Asymmetrical patterning in birds.

Are there any examples?

We see it in Dogs, (Dalmations)
Horses (Pintos)
Cattle (the big spotty ones)
Fish ?

but do birds do it?

no prizes offered

(There are some physical asymetricals of course
Crossbills etc, and some birds in a changeover moult
could display a random pattern, Satin Bower Bird, Ptarmigans)
